Pilates (Level 1 – 3)

With an emphasis on breathing, core stability and postural alignment, Pilates develops strong backs and flat stomachs. Pilates is also great to help heal back injuries and for back rehabilitation.

Group Indoor Cycling, Level 1 to Level 5 (also known variously as "Spinning" RPM" etc.)

Indoor stationary bikes can provide and an exhilarating, fat burning ride in the group setting. Specially selected music helps to motivate you, while your heart rate increases and your lungs work harder. Easy Rider, Easy Boogie, Boogie Bike and ICE are a great way to build up your endurance and lose weight.

  • Level 1 – Sensitive Cycling - An entry-level class for deeply deconditioned members or those recovering from cardiac or pulmonary illness.
  • Level 2 – Easy Rider - The starting point for new members in good health, Easy Rider lets you learn the techniques of spinning in a safe and funky way without overtaxing beginners.
  • Level 3 – Easy Boogie - A bit longer and harder than Easy Rider, Easy Boogie is 60 minutes of sweaty fat-burning fun. It's the perfect stepping-stone to Boogie Bike, yet remains a popular, vigorous workout in its own right. For many people Easy Boogie is plenty hard enough!
  • Level 4 – Boogie Bike - 45, 60 and even 90 minutes, Boogie Bike gets you very sweaty and helps you to burn up to 1000 calories an hour. Slightly faster and harder than Easy Boogie, during Boogie Bike you spend more time standing on the pedals (like cycling uphill) and generally pushing quite hard, or with light resistance, pedaling at elevated cadence (say 120rpm or more) which boosts heart and lung rates without stressing the main joints (knees, hips and nakles, in order of importance). Aero-Boogie 90 is a Level 4 class offering 90 minutes of endurance training during which you can burn over 1200 calories in a controlled, low-impact way.
  • Level 5 – ICE - This is the ultimate. ICE (Indoor Cycling Experience) is our 45-minute class. We run it twice a week for serious fitness fanatics (or experienced cyclists.) It’s very hard and very fast, and we love it!

Tums’n’Bums / Core Toning
These classes explore techniques for working core muscles like your Abs, Obliques, Glutes and Thighs.

BodySculpt
A low impact strength training class suitable for all. We use variable weights with music to tone and strengthen all major muscle groups, with an emphasis on the upper body (shoulders, chest, arms and abs).

Fitball
Balancing whilst exercising on a fitball challenges you to improve your posture while strengthening your all-over body-tone.

ABC (All-Body Conditioning)
This is a music-led all-over body workout which focuses on toning muscles by using lighter weights and higher repetition counts (low weight / high reps.) As such it does not necessarily promote muscle growth, but helps you tone up and burn fat in one go using free weights (usually dumbbells) and floor-based mat work.

Yoga
A centuries-old practice for flexibility and strength which focuses on breathing and stretching in postures designed to help calm the body and mind.
